The concept of memento mori highlights a truth: our mortality. Rather than causing despair, the awareness makes us to appreciate the beauty and impermanence of life.

I sewed this reversible jacket and hand embroidered the moths. I used primarily scraps for the skull and quilted part. It took about 4 months to complete.
