I’ve been doing the graphics for Bay Area Frocktails for 3 years. I thought I’d compile some of the highlights here.
2024
Concept: SEWING PATTERNS
It began with a new logo for the sewing group and the simple concept of sewing patterns for the event. It was a hit! I made a car dress. 🚗
2025
Concept: Painted Ladies
The event was held in Savoy Tivoli in San Francisco. I thought up the concept of dresses made from the painted ladies. I used prompts in Midjourney for the dresses, then used vector graphics. I designed a cool giveaway- a bag to customize.
I remade the dress this year and wore it as a skirt to a sustainable fashion event at the Ferry Building.
2026
Concept: Wildflowers
I was trying to sew some whimsy after a severe bout of SewRage. Wildflowers are this years graphic theme. I found myself doing some really serious sewing. I made a handbag, a corset, a dress and I upcycled a linen swing coat for the event. I think I’ll bring my camera and get photos of everyone this year. I like doing that because you get to meet so many people.
